Apple Medical opened in Flushing, New York, on October 1, 2024.
After more than 30 years in clinical practice, John Yang Lee, MD chose to open his own clinic here in Flushing — to serve a community he knows well.

Our Mission
Guided by evidence-based medicine and medical big data, Apple Medical Services applies the six basic principles of primary care practice proposed by Dr. John Yang Lee — holism, integration, continuity, prevention, patient-centeredness, and standardization — to advance the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model of primary care, striving with all our effort to improve the quality of care, enhance quality of life, avoid over-treatment, and lower medical costs.

“Serving our patients wholeheartedly” is our basic philosophy. We work to build a medical home for our patients, so that walking into Apple Medical feels like coming home — serving everyone with “the best quality of care, the lowest price, and the fewest side effects.”
Guided by evidence-based medicine and medical big data, we compare multiple treatment options and choose the best plan.
Among the best options, we prefer the most cost-effective one — directly lowering costs for self-pay patients and saving plan expenses for insured patients, avoiding over-treatment and reducing overall medical costs.
We prefer medications with the fewest side effects, and procedures with the least injury.
Inside the Clinic
A spacious waiting room, central air, a water station, a waiting-area TV, paired seating, calligraphy scrolls, street-facing daylight, and a private entrance — a space you can settle into.
Our Facility
Apple Medical Services has its own private entrance at the corner of 41st Avenue and Parsons Boulevard in Flushing — easy to find and easy to enter. The waiting room is large and bright, and the exam rooms are spacious, which helps prevent cross-infection. The clinic uses central air conditioning, warm in winter and cool in summer. The restroom is spacious, and the entrance has a wheelchair ramp that meets accessibility standards. Equipment is modern, so vital signs are measured comfortably, quickly, and accurately. The typical wait time is 0–5 minutes.

Every member of our team is passionate about the work.
Dr. John Yang Lee, chief physician, graduated as a clinical postgraduate of internal medicine of West China Hospital, West China University of Medical Sciences (now West China School of Medicine, Sichuan University), and served as an internal medicine physician at Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. As an outstanding MD he was awarded the German Humboldt Fellowship, pursued advanced medical studies at the Free University of Berlin, and was interviewed by the German President. He later completed postdoctoral medical studies with the French Academy of Medicine. In 1996 he came to the United States, pursued advanced studies at the University of Cincinnati’s affiliated hospitals and children’s hospital, passed the US medical licensing examinations with high scores, and received internal medicine residency and family medicine clinical training at hospitals affiliated with the University at Buffalo (SUNY) School of Medicine. Dr. Lee has worked in teaching hospitals and clinics. More than 30 years of clinical experience and dedicated study have made him an outstanding all-round physician. He sees patients of all ages and genders, treats common illnesses and complex conditions, and has unique insights into body-mind-spirit medicine and faith-based healing.
Our nurse has more than 20 years of experience and superb blood-drawing skills; our medical assistants, trained at accredited US schools, provide excellent care; and our attentive, warm-hearted patient service staff make you feel right at home. Our medical team is committed to providing you with high-quality care.
Community
Our patients come from many backgrounds, and Dr. Lee stays active in the community — supporting concerts, health lectures, and health for athletes and fitness groups.

Our patients come from every walk of life: blue-collar workers and office professionals, everyday folks and business owners, artists, and even Olympic athletes; nurses, medical assistants — and doctors. We proudly say “we are the doctors’ doctor,” because among our patients are licensed US physicians, including practitioners of Western and Chinese medicine, internists, surgeons, and dentists.
